Fleur - Public Relations (Mid)

Fleur is a Public Relations specialist with 10 years experience in the Communications field. Previously, Fleur has worked with Citrix Systems Asia Pacific, Acer Computer Australia, Cisco Systems and Veritas Software (now Symantec). Fleur has a strong background in public relations; responsible for the writing and distribution of media releases, development and management of media and client databases, and assistance in the organisation and supervision of media functions. She also has a strong experience in project/event and budget management. Most recently, Fleur has worked for non-for-profit organisations including Medecins Sans Frontieres Australia (Doctors Without Borders) and Austcare. She has also reported on the Executive Committee meetings of the United Nations High Commission for Refugees in Geneva. Fleur has recently completed a Masters of International Development at UNSW.

Karen - Public Relations Consultant (Senior)

Karen is a Public Relations Media specialist with over 10 years expereince in the Communications field. She has an excellent background in consumer and B2B Public Relations, working with a diverse range of clients. Most recently, Karen has developed PR strategy and generated media coverage for SelectTV.com. From 2001 - 2003, Karen was the Asia Pacific Communications manager for Sun Microsystems/SeeBeyond Technology. In this role, she introduced, managed and consolidated Public Relations strategy and generated Sun Microsystems/SeeBeyond's first ever press coverage throughout the Asia Pacific trade and corporate press. In CIT, Karen has also managed PR and Media Relations with Optus Vision, Verizon Telecommunications, and Cable and Wireless. Her skills extend from writing and distributing media releases to managing strategic campiagns. in addition to these core skills, Karen also has experience in managing large scale events, sponsorship management and strategic innovative media campaigns. she has worked in Sydney, Shanghai and New York in agencies and on the client side with brands such as Warner Bros, IKEA China, Citibank and Mercedes.

Meg - Web Evaluator (Senior)

For the past 10 years Meg has specialised in ways of using the Internet for social services delivery. She has consulted widely to universities, non-profits and government departments in Australia, Canada and the United States on Internet strategising, online research, web site usability testing, and evaluation methodologies. Working with Professor Harvey Skinner at the University of Toronto, Canada, Meg has pioneered a new method of website usability testing known as Video Capture of User Site Interaction. She has published in international journals and books, and has presented at over 50 conferences in Australia, Canada, Europe and the USA on the use of the Internet for prevention, health promotion and positive behaviour change.
